The CSBP Soil and Plant Analysis Laboratory is pleased to advise that it now offers a number of new tests. These tests are listed below:

Gypsum Purity: Gypsum purity percentage is calculated based on the presence of sulfur and calcium as compared to pure gypsum.

Lime Neutralising Value (bulk): Neutralising value percentage as compared to pure calcium carbonate.

Lime Neutralising Value (weighted average):
Neutralising value percentage as compared to pure calcium carbonate for the following particle size ranges:

• 0 - 0.125mm
• 0.125 - 0.25mm
• 0.25 - 0.5mm
• 0.5 - 1mm, and
• >1mm.

Particle size ranges are determined by dry sieving.
