This year a trial was conducted in Quairading with the aim of comparing the effectiveness of various liquid potassium (K) foliar applications to K-Till and MacroPro Extra.

View the trial summary sheet for information on the trial's results.

Trial key messages:

  • Soil testing to depth is critical to gain a better understanding of your soil Potassium (K) requirement levels
  • Banding K at seeding time by using K-Till or MacroPro is the most effective way to apply K.
  • Liquid K fertilisers applied post emergence are not cost effective.
  • Overall profit was increased by over $400/ha by using K-Till Max at seeding in place of liquid K in season.
