Super SR Range

Super SR Sustained release fertiliser Super SR (formerly called Coast Phos) is a unique pasture fertiliser specifically developed by CSBP to increase pasture productivity while reducing the risk of fertiliser leaching into groundwater.

Super SR has all advantages and benefits of Super Phos but with one important addition – a low, water-soluble phosphate component enabling a sustained release of P to significantly reduce the risk of phosphate leaching.

Super SR contains the major nutrients phosphorus, sulphur and calcium.

What are farmers saying about Super SR?

"I talked to our area manager Lance Stubberfield and explained we wanted to utilise the fertiliser we applied and raised my concerns for our river systems. Lance suggested Super SR and we have found no negatives for our pastures, with the same response and benefits as Super Phos.” Marc, farmer, Pinjarra Read full article

Features

  • Less than 40 per cent water soluble

Advantages

  • Contains essential nutrients to improve animal production and profit
  • Balance of major nutrients phosphorus (P), sulphur (S) and calcium (Ca)
  • Low phosphorus water solubility enabling slow release of P to reduce the amount of phosphate leaching into waterways
  • Improves early growth of clover and total pasture production
  • Increases palatability of winter and summer feed
  • Ease of application topdressing equipment

Application

Super SR is suitable for application through topdressing equipment using spinners or multi-spreaders. As part of a balanced pasture fertiliser program, Super SR may be applied in autumn and/or spring. Super SR has a range of particle sizes and is not suitable for application through seeding equipment.

Storage

Super SR may be stored in a shed, preferably with a concrete or lined floor. To avoid compaction and caking do not store more than 1.5m high. Keep the product dry by storing undercover or covering with black plastic during wet or humid conditions. Continually handling the product will cause it to break down.

Super SR vs. Super Phos

Super SR has all advantages and benefits of Super Phos but with one important addition – a low, water-soluble phosphate component enabling a sustained release of P to significantly reduce the risk of phosphate leaching.

Glasshouse and field trials have shown Super SR to be as effective as Super Phos in supplying phosphate to pastures growing on lighter soil types.
