Where did you grow up and what inspired you to work in ag?
I grew up in Albany. I worked for a couple of years at some other agricultural businesses in the area before joining CSBP.
What do you do when you’re not at work?
I love playing sport and getting involved in the community that way. Netball is my main passion, but footy and basketball tend to take over in the summer. I really like that you always know someone who knows someone, and there is always something going on in Albany. There is a great sense of community.
What's your favourite country bakery and what’s your go-to order?
It’s hard to go past the Mount Barker Bakery. I like the surf and turf pie.
How long have you been with CSBP?
I joined CSBP in 2016, then I did some travelling, and am thrilled to be back now, re-joining early this year.
What are some highlights of your career/life to date?
I backpacked throughout Europe by myself when I was 19. I loved, in particular, my time in Slovenia - Lake Bled was amazing. Santorini was another favourite.
What’s the most rewarding part of your role?
I just like getting out and meeting people. There are also lots of little wins that make my job really rewarding, such as when something that we have advised goes well for one of our customers.
What is something not many people know about you?
I am pretty good at the worm on the dance floor!
How do you keep up to date with the latest agronomy and trends?
I have signed up for a few industry newsletters but, to me, the most valuable thing is listening and talking to people and getting my insights from them.
Is there anything you want to achieve while working at CSBP?
There is a lot to learn, and I am open to taking each opportunity as it comes. If there is an opportunity for further personal and professional development, then I am happy to jump on that train.
